A Few Of My Favorites.

These pictures were taken last year, but they still have their beauty. The pine tree has since been cut down..I felt so sad to see it go, but its time was passed. Of course it is like everything in life.."A time to live and a time to die." But if we leave a beautiful fingerprint, we never die.

Things Are Getting Serious.

The deck roof doesn't have a metal roof, so the snow won't slide off that easy..So up goes hubby to shovel it off..The roof rake only goes so far..I really don't worry much about the deck roof collapsing, because my son-in-law built it and it is strong..He told me when it was done, we could drive a truck on it..course we are not going to test fate.

More snow coming..tonight and Tuesday. Woe is me...

This Is Just The Beginning..

We are getting more storms this coming week.

As you can see, the ladder by the deck roof.

Hubby had to go up and shovel snow off..just to be safe. Now take a look at the bottom picture..doesn't it look like two eyes looking back at me? Probably laughing at me. I will tell you this, I could have quite a debate with Al Gore and his Global Warming agenda.

Here We Go Again.

Well, we are in the middle of another storm.

Had couple of inches yesterday and today is more..much more. Oh my, happy to hear the groundhog didn't see his shadow..so an early spring. Just one thing about that, not sure if the groundhog is teasing me.

With all that is going on in this world, this is really minor and will be thankful I am warm and have a comfortable place to live..Thank you God.

Now I will go to the kitchen and make some Orange Bread to go with tea this afternoon.

To make myself happy, I started looking at pictures from this summer..This is a baby bird ,on one of my angels, on the back deck. I had quite a few laughs watching him/her..and the pictures continue to amuse me still.

My pictures are very limited lately, since there is so much snow/ice around..I won't leave this house, unless I have to. Have to admit, as I alway say..the sky never disappoints me..

Well, more snow is on the way..right now with the wind chill we are 20 below zero..This has been quite the year for snow/cold..so far. To keep myself busy, will have to think of something very positive..when I find out what that is, I will share it with you all...haha..

Flock of Cedar Waxwing.

This was a flock of Cedar Waxwing in the tree..I couldn't get a better picture, since they would take to flight. The tree was just full of them..

They are a beautiful looking bird with a mask on the eyes..greenish in color. Just another wonderful gift from God.

Icicle/Sunset

Caught another drip from an icicle..Then when the sun was setting, got a couple of pictures..

Let me just say. Today is more snow, the weekend will bring in a cold blast..29-30 below in the morning. It is getting very tiring, but I have to keep telling myself..we are warm and have plenty of food..I refuse to let the negative take over. Have to keep remembering the words I wrote a few post down.."The only thing we can control in this life, is our behavior"..

Fun With Icicles.

Well, when all seems like a boring day..I grabbed the camera and had the best time, taking pictures of icicles..Trying to catch a drip..did it on two of them and felt very proud of myself.

Thank you God, for letting me use my imagination..even though I did a lot of whining about the weather today.

So glad God has a good sense of humor..sometimes, I am hard to take..haha...

Food For Thought.

So many terrible things are happening..I just feel I should share this thought that our number 2 daughter said.."On earth, the only thing you can control is your behavior"...think about that for a minute..How many would like to blame people for all the terrible things in life..and some have a good reason..but it is your behavior that is what you are in control of..Do you let the things take control of you...or do you control the thing???
Now my thoughts about this life..We chose our destiny..I think God shows us a job on earth and we chose it..but how so many lose focus..MY WILL, GOD'S WILL...If you follow God's will, you will have done your job on earth..but God will never interfere with your will..he gave that to us.
As I say, this is all just something to think about..
