Fingerprint Friday.

When the sky is hazed and thin cirrus clouds are in the sky, usually there is a rainbow/circular halo around the sun.
What a Fingerprint from God this makes. I was very excited to catch this beautiful
picture the other day. I just happened to be on the back deck and looked up. To get the full circle, I covered the sun ..Never, ever look into the sun.

My Favorite Picture..

My favorite picture, that I ever took, was for a Fingerprint Friday.

It came from a series of shots off the back deck.

I decided to try and do a watercolor of what I see and here it is.
To me it was a glimpse of heaven and so thankful to have caught it with my camera.

Shadow Shot Sunday.

Caught a few shadows home. The den had light coming in and thought it was an interesting shadow.

Mint growing up through the deck..Now that is different.

Then another deck shadow. Just put the hanging basket up and didn't even take the tag off..saw the shadow and ran for camera.

Fingerprint Friday.

I took this picture a couple of years ago..but I remember it, like it was yesterday. I was talking to this cricket and asking him to pose for me and sure enough..he did. What a cute Fingerprint from God. I was so thankful getting these pictures and so close up..Now if he broke out in the song,"When You Wish Upon A Star"that would have put me over the top..Ha, ha..

Painting Very High Up..

This always makes me nervous..When Hubby has to paint off the ladder..I can't stand heights and I have to keep away. Quickly took these pictures and off I went. Will stay in the house till he is done...

Beautiful Poppies..

These poppies are so beautiful and they come back every year.

I don't have to do a thing for them..lucky for the poppies..

Will give myself some credit..I took the seeds from poppies, years ago in Vermont and bought them here. How I managed to get them to grow, I still don't know..but here they are. What a happy sight in the spring and I look forward to them every year. Thank you God, because you took care of them, knowing I don't do well in the garden.

Shadow Shot Sunday.

On the ride home have a few different pictures. True the first picture is more reflections..but a few shadows are in there. Then the road with tree shadows..Now just think of traveling this road in winter. What a nightmare. Start up the icy hill only to slide backwards. Thank heavens I don't travel that way in winter anymore..

No matter where you live, there are always Fingerprints from God. I am trying to capture as many as I can. The more I look, the more I find.

Isn't that almost like the story about gifts.?.The more you use, the more they multiply.

I was sitting on our deck and looking at the garden lawn ball..The way the sun hit it, gave a neat picture..You have to admit, it is different and interesting..

Memorial Day.

As the sun was rising, my thoughts are all about the sacrifices our young men/woman gave for this country..One that is dear to my heart is Chris..He and his wife were at our daughter's wedding..right before he went to Iraq. He became one of the first casualties in Maine..
He will never be forgotten ..Today, we remember you Chris and Lavina..May you both have the choicest blessings God can give for what you did for our freedom. The ultimate sacrifice.

I have been with Hey Harriet and Shadow Shot Sunday, since May/2008..This is one of my first shadows and thought it would be a good shadow for today, since it is Memorial Day weekend.

This is in honor for all our men/woman in every armed service and all our allies fighting with them. Thanking you so much. God Bless them All...

Fingerprint Friday.

Had to take a trip inland and took a few pictures as husband was driving..They do not do justice to the beauty I saw, but gives you a little idea. One is the apple orchard, which is so much larger. I just caught the end of it and the last is a field full of buttercups. Both are such beautiful Fingerprints from God. Apples, they are used as a Fingerprint in the bible..Fruit from the tree of knowledge.

Then the beauty of wildflowers, something very peaceful just looking at the field.

I wonder how many people drove by that field and didn't even notice it's display. How many things I have missed, by not paying attention. A lesson in living life. As long as you realize your mistake, all is not lost.

Beautiful Sky.

I am always amazed at the sky..These pictures are taken as the sun was going down..

Clouds moving in..First the temps were 82 degrees, during the day. Then when the sun started to set, we dropped to 62 degrees. You are never sure what to expect here, but I always appreciate God's beauty and the sky is one of my favorites..

My Baltimore Oriole. I seem to be doing a lot of birds for Fingerprint Friday..but each one has a beautiful Fingerprint. They remind me of humans..each one of us, is special and we have our own look, and all of us are made with the beautiful touch from God.

Weather In Maine..

A day in Maine, we can have very strange weather. We start out with fog, then the sun is shinning bright, the cat bird was even enjoying it.

Next you look and here come the clouds and rain.

It is a very interesting state, weather wise.

Caught a few shadows when the sun came out from behind the clouds..

Driveway, roof and back of barn where a bush is growing.

The barn shadow is really soft and pretty.

Missed last week, so no matter what, I was going to find a shadow for this week.

These are not the best pictures, but they are all Fingerprints from God..

They are taken in the backyard and I have to move quick.

First two pictures are Yellow Finches, then the Catbird..last but not least is the Morning Dove.

They all have a beautiful sound in spring/summer and it is always a happy time to hear them.

We always wait for the Bluebirds in the spring..

This time, we were shocked..There he sat, looking right at us, on the bird feeder..

He is always a special sign for us.

They are a beautiful bird and it is a thrill to be able to catch a picture of one.

Trees With New Leaves.

Trees are starting to get their leaves now and everything looks so green. Spring green is always the most beautiful green, have you noticed?

The apple tree doesn't have many blossoms this year..Then we have the beautiful moon going by our maple tree.
