My little Chickadee...Didn't he pose so nicely for me? They are such fun to watch and give me many laughs.
They are the state bird. When snow is all around, so are they, which is nice.

The Cardinal

A cardinal is a representative of a loved one who has passed. When you see one, it means they are visiting you. They usually show up when you most need them or miss them. They also make an appearance during times of celebration as well as despair to let you know they will always be with you. Look for them, they'll appear.


This to me is a beautiful thought..as I near a year George has been gone..(the cardinal was singing so loud all during his final days).Had never heard of this..then someone told my daughter they are called .."The Angel Bird"...there is so much we miss, because of things going on around us..but the love of God is with us, if we just take the time to be still and listen...

A Sign Of Spring..

Robins, a sign of spring. You are suppose to make a wish on the first one you see.
These are such cute birds. Always enjoy when they are back in my yard.
Now I won't kid you, they must be wearing long johns, it is freezing out ..spring is somewhere out there and I am going to believe them.

Snow, What is new??

I am trying to think about blogging..but my pictures are all the same..snow, snow falling, ice on trees, more snow..I know it gets boring, after awhile, so I haven't put any pictures up. Well, will put a few more snow shots..tomorrow we are getting another bad snow storm. One thing here, we are use to it..the poor people in the south are having a terrible time..I always keep a coal stove in my kitchen..just in case we lose electric. One thing I learned living here..be self sufficient or else you will end up in trouble.

The Cardinal

As I have written about the Cardinal and hearing him all through my husbands sickness and throughout the summer into fall..and he is still around here..
Well, it was so interesting how someone told my daughter..The Cardinal is called The Angel Bird...
What a beautiful thought and wanted to share with everyone..it gives great peace..Makes you feel you are really being looked out for..and never really alone

Our Cardinal

The beautiful cardinal..it was so odd..when my husband was dying..this was all we heard..the male cardinal singing..and he stayed all summer..
Such a beautiful bird and such a happy memory..
We never take anything for granted..and so thankful..

So sorry to have been gone..Got a case of shingles and I am just getting better..was in the eye and still having troubles seeing..but I am getting better..

Leaves Are Changing..Oh My....

 The leaves are starting to change fast..I know up country they are said to be beautiful.
Had to add the sunflower with the bee inside it..that is the best I could do, without it coming after me..

There is something so beautiful about clouds. You just never know what you will see. The shapes are so graceful. Very peaceful to look at, don't you think?

I see many trees with colors changing..Oh my, a beautiful time, but don't like winter..which follows.
These flowers grow wild..always called them Golden Glow and I think they are a relative to the Sun Flower..A very happy flower to me..They are so tall and the yellow is so bright.

Today I
will remember all those lives lost in the Trade Center, NYC..
That time will never be forgotten. Another very sad time for America..
My Blessing goes to all those left behind with the pain and sorrow of losing their love ones..it is very hard to look at what was done to innocent people and forgive..my favorite saying is from Buddha.."Hate is like a hot coal, it only burns the one holding it."...I really think that says it all..
With that thought in mind, we all move forward.

This last picture that was taken, many thought it was photo shopped..well, the odd thing..I was watching t.v. and saw it..I thought I was seeing things, it was in the smoke..the face of evil. You can check it out on Snopes..

Sun Behind Clouds.
