Shadow Shot Sunday..

Oh my, I have been missing for a long time. Missed everyone. Hope I can get back into the swing of things.

Took a couple of shadow shots outside, snowbank and deck with ice. Then to the fireplace and a mantle upstairs in a bedroom.
I have been away so long, I have to get myself trained again. Keep the faith, I shall return.

Gee, I sound a little like Gen. MacArthur.

Snowing, what is new?

I have to admit, as you all know, I am not a fan of snow..but it does make for a beautiful picture.

Always fun to try and catch the snowflakes on camera..This is what you call, "Making lemonade out of Lemons"..

Our Cardinal..

I tried to get a few pictures of our beautiful cardinal. Everyday he is here with the female eating at the feeder. Sometimes I get lucky and get a picture, but this was the best I could do for today. Hope you enjoy it.

I always try and make sure there is plenty of birdfood in winter. Just a few little guys that came for a bite..aren't they cute? I know this, they keep me happy.

Put up my favorite picture of Mary/Child that always hung in my mother's bedroom.

This picture fascinated me and I would always be looking at it. Something so beautiful and simple..

Mary, as we were always told, was very young when she gave birth and this picture depicts it.

Beautiful sky and clouds..Waiting for the arrival of Christmas..A day of excitement and what would we do without it?

Thank you God for your beloved Son..And to think of all Mary/Joseph went through.

I know this, being in labor isn't one of my most comfortable moments..but think if you were riding on a donkey, no place to go and in labor.

Gives you something to think about, doesn't it?

Fingerprint Friday..Monhegan Island, ME..

Here is a beautiful fingerprint from God..Monhegan Island, Maine..It sits out in the ocean off the coast of Maine..many artist find it a great place to paint from and have classes there in the summer..You know what I find interesting? See the little shack there on the island off Monhegan..

Well, the story goes a man from NYC left all his wealth and moved there. He was called the "Hermit" of Mohegan Island. I really have to get the film about him , it is worth watching.

This man had it all or should I say, what people think is "all". Money/success. Yet, he gave it up and lived a very simple life in a shack.

I remember reading once, the lobstermen on this island will not go out, if one lobsterman is sick.

They start their season on New Years, but together.

Isn't this an interesting Fingerprint from God?

What a happy Fingerprint from God these little birds are. They bring us much joy watching them.

The weather has been nice lately and it seems they are getting ready for the snow season.

I'm Back.

This is just an update till I get going again..Had trouble with thyroid acting up..not a fun time.
If anyone is taking Armour Thyroid medicine and finding they are having trouble..they messed with their product. It put me down for the count..took awhile, but I didn't realize that was the problem from spring off and on into summer..till fall..
Waiting on bloodwork results..So if anyone is on Armour and having trouble..please check with your doctor. They reformulated their product last spring and no one knew about it..Neat..
Something that is over 100 years old..did good all those years..so why did they mess with it?
Makes one wonder. This is a natural product..pharma can't make money on it..but from reports I read FDA going after it and because of pharma..Was on synthroid and had rashes/ulcers/bloat..Please pay close attention to what goes in your mouth and what they prescribe for you..Be your own judge. I have seen too many mistakes in my life by people that trust in someone else to be watching their health..
I could write a book on it..won't bore you..Just a warning..Know your body and watch what is prescribed.

Veteran's Day...

My heart breaks when I look at all the sacrifices our men/woman give for our freedom..Not just in America, but all that fight beside our troops. God Bless you All. Would not let this day go by without thanking you.

Shadow Shot Sunday..

I caught the shadows in the yard.

The house shadow was kind of neat on the ground, then the other day, house shadow is in the trees..

The last shot is in Portland, from hospital. While waiting for daughter to give birth and getting nervous, took camera out and started taking pictures (Baby/mother doing fine, little girl).

Notice the first picture. We had snow..melted now.

As much as I dislike snow..there is a beauty that only God can create..the first snowfall.

Woke up this morning and there it was. Should be gone by this afternoon and I will be happy.

No matter how much I dislike winter, it gives a beautiful picture and I am always thanking God.
