This is a beautiful Fingerprint from God..My husband's garden..When you think of all the wonderful plants that provide food for us, truly a gift. Thankful husband is a gardener..since I am lousy at it...but I do enjoy freezing/canning so we have the best of two worlds.

Moon/Mars

This information came in an email..Thought you all might enjoy reading and watching.


On the 27th Aug the Whole World is waiting for............. Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August. It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles off earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons.
The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Rainbow Tipped Clouds.

This is an interesting picture of clouds..The sun was to the left and the clouds, because of moisture gave a little rainbow. Isn't it beautiful? So much beauty to see and so thankful I saw this.

Fingerprint Friday.

Here is a cute Fingerprint..A Robin's nest.


It was blown out of a tree in the back yard and I just happen to find it. What an amazing work of art..No one taught this little bird how to build this nest, yet it knew how to do it, by instinct.
We as humans are giving instinct too..but do we follow it?
This is an interesting thought...

Cucumbers..

We are starting to get cucumbers and here is a fun recipe I thought I would share for dill pickles.

Years ago my mom was given this recipe from a woman and she called it , 4 Day Pickles..

You pick the pickling cukes small, wash, clip top and bottom off.

Pack in a quart jar, tight. Add crushed garlic/dill or 2TBS dill seed..Add 2TBS salt. Fill jar with warm tap water and put tight cap on..

1st day..jar stands upright

2nd day ..turn jar upside down

3rd day...turn jar upright

4th day they go in the fridge..

That is it..when chilled have a nice dill pickle..

Use the dill/garlic to your taste.

Shadow Shot Sunday.

I have missed a few weeks..but family was here and didn't get a chance to blog much.

These shadows are around home again..the garden, the road..did it before, but so pretty worth another shot, and my shed with hanging basket..I am thrilled with the shadow the hanger gave.

A little visitor..

This little guy has been around our property for a few days..I do think his mother was probably hit by a car. Usually they never come out during the daytime. He/she was all over the place for a few days. Won't kid you, I was very nervous going out to the garden, since he did run under the shed.

Haven't seen him for awhile, hope he headed to the woods.

Have to admit, skunks are cute looking.

Beautiful Sunset.

It has been so hot here and the humidity is terrible. Starting to break now. This was the sunset the other night. I just happen to look outside and couldn't believe the colors.

Year ago I received this beautiful collection from a bank..Put it in a drawer and never thought about it again..It has much more in it about America.

The way things are today, this little collection has become very dear to my heart..

This weeks Fingerprint from God. Clouds..I have never seen so many different and beautiful clouds, as this week. Some were so big, but only in certain spots of the sky. It was a wonderful Fingerprint for me and so thankful I could get a few pictures..

My Hibiscus.

My beautiful hibiscus plant bloomed again and I see I have a couple more blossoms.
This is exciting for me, since I do not do well with plants/gardens..So to all, enjoy my beautiful flower..

Daughter's Visitor..

Daughter sent these pictures..She got up this morning and in her pool..swimming and enjoying the beautiful water is a lovely Mallard..They have a salt water inlet next to their home and I guess the Mallard liked the pool better..How funny is this?

The Hairy Woodpecker is my Fingerprint from God today...I was on the side deck and heard a noise and there they were..I think one is a baby. They were so busy with the tree stump, I ran for my camera. Couldn't get any closer, but happy to get a few pictures of them. What a beautiful Fingerprint.

A Fun Picture..

You actually have to click on the picture to enjoy it..The little dot is a bird chasing a crow..I happened to be on the back deck and heard this noise, looked up and there you have it.

That bird chased the crow across the yard and then some. Lucky I got the picture.

Good Picture For a Scary Movie.

This picture of the sky, reminds me of a Sherlock Holmes movie..The sun was going down and all the clouds were in the sky, making it very dark and sinister.

You never know what you will see in our beautiful sky..Just love to look at it.

Shadow Shot Sunday.

As the sun was setting in the back of the house..the deck had a few nice shadows..but my favorite is Little Glow Worm..Youngest daughter had a baby and she bought her a Glow Worm..well, I hunted down daughter's Glow Worm when she was young. Took a picture to send her and there was the little shadow. Gosh, he is a cute little toy and would you believe he still lights up and didn't have to change the battery..Just remember youngest daughter is 29..

When the sky is hazed and thin cirrus clouds are in the sky, usually there is a rainbow/circular halo around the sun.
What a Fingerprint from God this makes. I was very excited to catch this beautiful
picture the other day. I just happened to be on the back deck and looked up. To get the full circle, I covered the sun ..Never, ever look into the sun.
Hope you enjoy this wonderful Fingerprint..I can say, it made my day.

My Favorite Picture..

My favorite picture, that I ever took, was for a Fingerprint Friday.

It came from a series of shots off the back deck.

I decided to try and do a watercolor of what I see and here it is.
To me it was a glimpse of heaven and so thankful to have caught it with my camera.

Shadow Shot Sunday.

Caught a few shadows home. The den had light coming in and thought it was an interesting shadow.

Mint growing up through the deck..Now that is different.

Then another deck shadow. Just put the hanging basket up and didn't even take the tag off..saw the shadow and ran for camera.
