Storm

 This was the lightening we had in yesterdays storm..
The first picture, I opened the door and had my arm outside..the second, you can see my camera in the glass reflection..I closed the door..the noise was making me nervous..and the rain in the third shot looked just like snow, it was so heavy.
I am not a fan of thunder/lightening..My mom use to always tell me.."God was blessing the earth."..Well, that may be so..but the time she told me that..lightening hit three homes..so I am not sure where God's blessing will go and I try and keep out of His way.
The storm did break the humid weather..Today is very cool and crisp..At least you feel human again..

Morning moon..Thought it was so pretty.

Was so happy to catch this butterfly/moth..not sure which it was. It was a beautiful site and had to work fast. It left the bush, as soon as I took the pictures.
Always thankful for seeing something a bit different and consider it another gift.

Little Hummingbird Moth

 I was lucky to catch a  picture of the Humming Bird Moth. This was not an easy job. I was going from flower to flower and I can see how this little moth got its name..It was so fast, my camera couldn't keep up with it.

Farmer's Market

 Took a trip to the farmer's market..Was a beautiful spot and the view was lovely. It isn't that big of a market, but really located in a wonderful area and was worth going. All organic food. Breads/meats/mead..so it was fun to visit.
Weather has been rainy and not very interesting for picture taking..so happy to get something to write about.

My Little Sparrow.

This little sparrow sits every morning and sings for us. What a beautiful sound.
Some may not even pay attention, since their color is not outstanding and doesn't catch your eye..but didn't God give him a beautiful sound..Isn't that the way life is..some of us feel like nothing, but each and every one of us was given a special gift..and when you use it, it is like this little sparrow..You will sing a beautiful song..

The Beautiful Moon.

 Well, the moon was suppose to be a hit for my blog this morning. Let me say, this was the best pictures I
took and they are not great.
I went out at night, and was nervous. We have many wild animals roaming around at night, like skunks..Need I say, my hand was not steady and in the last shot, you can appreciate a woman on the move..Didn't see anything, but thought I heard something and wasn't hanging around to find out what it was..
Had a good laugh when I downloaded these pictures..I call the last one.."The finger of God."  You have to admit..it looks kind of like a finger, pointing to heaven..

Sun Setting.

 My poor blog has suffered. I was so busy before and after Easter, I didn't get to visit everyone.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter. Ours was beautiful. All our daughters/husbands/children were here..22 people counting us. A very happy time.
I had fun making the meal. I always enjoy a challenge and we even made Resurrection Rolls..they are always a big hit with everyone.
A marshmallow goes inside the dough and when baked it melts and as you open it, it looks like the empty tomb..
A few pictures of the sun setting last night..Never look at the sun. I just aimed my camera and push the button. Pretty neat, I think..

A Fun Visitor.

What a surprise to see this Canada Goose in the yard.
He headed toward a neighbors house and this is the best pictures I could get.
Have never seen one here before. Many fly overhead and you hear them honking, but not on our property.
This was a first and may I say, a happy gift..

As the Robins were enjoying the weather..I was enjoying watching them..Made my wish on seeing the first Robin in Spring..Then a little snow fell..
Funny how the snow doesn't bother me now, I know spring is coming..
Spring is such a happy time, everything is coming alive and to be truthful..I myself feel more alive..

Cloudy

First the sun behind a cloud, then the snow..
Even though it was a dusting..so happy this is the last day of January..even if February can be snowy, the days are longer and the sun stronger..We are edging up to spring. Thank you God.

The Sun.

Having fun with the sun..without looking at it through the camera..Never, ever look at the sun directly, it can ruin your vision.
I would just aim it toward the sun and snap a picture..
It was very warm and beautiful here with the sun shinning. They call this a January thaw and I am trying to take advantage of it.
There is always something to be happy about, if we just give it time. The old line, "Darkest before the dawn."..
