Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone..

This is our home and just so you know, it will be filled with Our Family..Children will be running all over the place and we are happy..Hey, what is a home without love and laughter..? We will invite anyone that hasn't a place to go to join in our celebration..Our one son-in-law is a chef and we both do the cooking..He will work on something and step back and say, Okay mom, you go..It is really comical. We do have an old garland stove with six burners and two big ovens and everything is going..
May each and everyone of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and for those that don't celebrate..we send our love and blessings to you..from our home to yours...

Shadow Shot Sunday..

My how the week flew by and here we are again..fun times..Hey Harriet and Shadow Shot Sunday..Caught a few good shadows this week..
Heading into the house, caught these two shadows....Then we get to Mr. Tom, senior..Took him for a walk and put him on a tarp, next to the barn..Isn't he cute? Well, he doesn't have to worry, he is finished this week..
Thanksgiving is Thursday..but instead of going in the oven, he goes in a closet only to return next year..

Bronze Chariot Found in Bulgaria..

This is so interesting, I had to share with those that didn't read about it..
A village east of Sofia, Bulgaria, called Karanovo is where this chariot was found..It dates back to the end of the second century A.D..
It is an elaborately decorated 1,800 year old chariot, sheathed in bronze.. Next to it was an animal skeleton. Here are a few pictures for all to enjoy..Check out Yahoo.news.com for the whole story.

Bulgaria has a special place in our hearts..We have friends there and attended their wedding a few years ago..Hope you all enjoy this story..

Another Beautiful Morning Sky..

The things I do for this blog..It is 16 degrees out and I am taking pictures of the sunrise..Even took a picture of the Rhododendron bush with it's leaves down..it is cold. Of course, I am in my bathrobe/p.j's and traffic is going by, including a bus full of kids..lost my slipper running back into the house..Now that was painful..
Didn't put the pictures in order, fingers are still numb..started with the bottom and ended with the sun popping out..hope you all enjoy..even got a shot of the moon overhead..

My Deer Friends..

I tried so hard to get pictures of these two deers across the street in our field..this was the best I could do..Hoping they will be back again. They were very kind posing for me, but the camera didn't work good at dusk..I was chatting with them and they stood so still..they were beautiful, take my word for it and I was thankful for any shot I took..

A Few Little Friends in Hawaii..

We saw so many beautiful Koi Fish in Hawaii..I didn't get all the wonderful pictures yet...The Gecko is a cute one too..They are all over the place, but are great to have around..They eat many bugs and won't bother you.

Shadow Shot Sunday.. A Fun Time.

Today is Hey Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday..It has been so gloomy here, I had a hard time finding shadows..The first is from Hawaii, that wasn't hard..second is cabinets. I noticed the blinds gave a little shadow..and last but not least is Mr.Tom..What a job I had getting any kind of shadow..I told him he better get use to it..because he will be dragged every Sunday till after Thanksgiving..He is darn lucky he isn't real or he'd really have something to worry about.

Few Pictures Of Hawaii..

These are just a few pictures of where we stayed in Hawaii..Will have some very interesting things to show, once I get the pictures off my daughter/son-in-laws computer..I kept downloading them there..It was a beautiful condo upcountry..I like to stay where it is quiet and more apt to be with the people..Another reason this was a good pick. The big island is having a vog problem and it isn't as big a problem there..

Pampering Beki has Fingerprint Friday and it is so much fun finding where God' fingerprints are..This week, I have a tree in it's stages during fall time..A beautiful picture, yet sad also..When I look at this tree, I think of life..Never take anything for granted. When you have the beauty before you, enjoy it, for all too soon you lose it..but in the spring, it will come back to life again..We can learn so much from the trees..

An Interesting Afternoon Sky..

It was so funny..the other night I was watching the weather..First the sun was out, then it got cloudy, then rain, then a partial rainbow..
My neighbor called to tell me about the rainbow, so I missed some of it..but it is still beautiful..Hope you enjoy the pictures.

What a Beautiful Earring..

Golden earring found in Jerusalem dates back to the time of Christ..Now is this interesting or what?
This earring was discovered beneath a parking lot next to the walls of Jerusalem's old city..
The story was on Fox/Yahoo..You can visit Fox News.com's archaeology center and check out what they have to say..

When you look at the earring, don't you wonder who wore it? And to think it was during the Roman period..Amazing..They claim earrings similar to this one have been found at archaeological sites throughout Europe..where the Roman Empire also flourished..For those that didn't get a chance to read this story..

Sunset.

Just a pretty sunset in Hawaii..Took these pictures from the Lanai..It was a very interesting sunset. The pictures don't show the way the sun just seemed to drop from behind the clouds. You can get an idea of what I mean. It was beautiful.
