Fingerprint Friday/International Ataxia Awareness Day.

International Ataxia Awareness Day is on Saturday, but I want this up, before and after Saturday, just in case someone has information to share..

Ataxia is a neurological condition that can affect co-ordination, unsteady gait, difficulty balancing, swaying, slurring of speech, involuntary eye movements[nystagmus], difficulty swallowing, and tremors. It even affects their personality when they have an attack. Ataxia is usually caused by damage to the cerebellum or to its inputs and outputs. It could occur due to certain viruses, injury, exposure to chemicals, metabolic disorders or it may have a genetic component.

This is one of my darling granddaughters who is suffering with this problem, Episodic Ataxia. It all started when she was six years old..She had a cold, as did her brother/sister..but she came down with nystagmus/nausea/headache and her balance was off. She has been seen by many doctors and have to admit..Most don't know what to do, since this is really something that is fairly new. My daughter/ her husband keep researching and checking out every piece of information they can. Anyone that knows anything about this type of Ataxia or who they can recommend for advice..please leave a comment.

As you can see from the picture..Christiana is quite the artist. She has been in two Art Shows and we are so proud of her. Some days she can't even sit up. Her dizziness/nausea gets the better of her. Almost every morning she awakes with these problems. Then she will be fine for maybe a week or more, if she is lucky. She is constantly working through this and is still going to school, which may have to change if it gets worse. Especially when there is a flu/sickness going around.

Please keep her in your prayers..

Till next time, keep looking up.

Fingerprint Friday.

Now this is a cute Fingerprint from God..I was on the front lawn, taking a pictures of clouds and felt someone was watching me..Well, about five feet in front of me, there was this little chipmunk standing very still and looking my way. I aimed the camera down and caught these two pictures..What a sweet Fingerprint..He wouldn't move, till I did..and down the hole he went.
I went over and saw a hole in the lawn, where he has a home. Have to admit, I was thankful to catch a picture to share for Fingerprint Friday.
Be sure to check out Pampering Beki's blog for other fingerprints..
Till next time, keep looking up.

Beautiful Clouds.

I find the fall/spring time the best for getting pictures of clouds..I think it is the cold/warm air masses that cause all the beauty..You have to admit..they are interesting and beautiful clouds.

A Quick Flash.

A little flash of lightening..Not a great shot..but was proud of it anyway.
I am not a fan of thunder/lightening..so this is a big step for me..
My mother use to tell me not to be afraid of lightening, it was God blessing the earth. Well, one time He blessed the earth a little stronger than usual, lightening hit three houses in our town..so lightening makes me a little jumpy.
Till next time, keep looking up.

One Of The Many Hero's Of 9/11

Father Mychal F. Judge, OFM was a busy Franciscan priest who dedicated his life to serving God's people. He is known for his work with the homeless, recovering addicts, AIDS patients, and his work as chaplain to the New York City Fire Department.
On September 11, 2001, Father Mychal rushed from the friary at Saint Francis of Assisi Church to the scene of the World Trade Center attacks.
After administering last rites to a firefighter, Father Mychal was hit by debris and killed. He became the first officially recorded fatality following the attack.
During his life, Father Mychal spent much of his time ministering to the homeless on the Breadline at St. Francis of Assisi Church in New York City. This is one of the many places where he found God - in the hurting, the broken, the suffering, and the poor.
His dedication to homeless men, women and children has become a calling to us that manifests itself as Mychal's Message.

This is just one of the many stories from 9/11...God Bless America.

Till next time, keep looking up.

Fingerprint Friday..

For Fingerprint Friday I use a picture of where the Twin Towers stood on 9/11/01..It will be nine years tomorrow.
This image will never leave me and I do believe it should always be a reminder..I realize this is an odd fingerprint..But I see it as good will over come evil..God is always with us, even when life looks darkest.
Dear God, You are my Fingerprint today..
God Bless Us All and God Bless America.

Fingerprint Friday.

A cute Fingerprint from God is a Dragonfly..There are so many flying around here..They do a wonderful job at keeping the mosquito population under control..What a pretty bug they are.

I use to be afraid of them as a child, not realizing how important they are..Well, that has changed and now I look for them and try to get a picture. We have them in all sizes/colors..Here is a cute red one..A beautiful Fingerprint.
