Steve Jobs

I just had to write a little tribute about Steve Jobs..I read about his sister giving his eulogy..I tell you..It was so beautiful. His last words were, as he looked past them.."Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow."..
It actually bought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful way to leave this earth. I wonder what he saw?
I remember when we took care of my dad at home. He looked at me and said, "soon my father will be coming for me." Knowing my grandfather was gone from this earth many years, I was taken back. The following week he died. It was the first time I experienced this from someone close to death.
To me these experiences Steve Jobs and my dad shared are filled with joy..and as our loved ones leave this earth..and leave us in pain..we have to think.."Till we meet again"...

Till next time, keep looking up.

Morning Sun

As I took pictures of the morning sun, I happened to turn around and saw a beautiful reflection in the window..It made an interesting subject, I think..don't you?

Till next time, keep looking up.

Now here is a picture I took from a visitor in our bird house..usually, I run screaming if this little guy crosses my path..but he was so cute.
Husband put him in the garden and he just sat there, so I took a few pictures. Slowly he headed toward the woods.
Not sure who was more surprised when we cleaned out the bird house..it was a toss up..

Till next time, keep looking up.

Following The Moon.

I love the moon and had fun following it going behind the trees. It is such a beautiful thing to see in the morning, night too..I never tire taking pictures of it.
Amazing how much beauty we miss sometimes. I never really appreciated everything as much as I do, with my camera..As I was once told.."It is never too late, to start something good."

Till next time, keep looking up.

Killer Frost

Now this is really a frost..anything in a garden would be done for. The funny thing, it is what really brings beautiful color to leaves..This weekend will warm up in the 70ies and color will start with the trees. Will probably peak near the middle/end of Oct..If we have rain, it will ruin some of the beautiful colors.
It is amazing to see God's paintbrush. No matter what colors I use to paint with, they are never as beautiful as the ones God uses.

Till next time, keep looking up.

After The Rain.

These Hibiscus looked so beautiful with the rain drops on them..What a color..Will be taking them inside tonight and for good. We are getting a frost and the weather is really getting cold.
You have to admit..they are a happy flower and so thankful for their beauty.

Till next time, keep looking up.

Walking around the back yard and hoping to catch a Dragonfly..but instead..the house/barn/flower and puddle..Oh well, it is all nice ..but no Dragonfly in sight..As you can see, the sun is getting ready to set, but a beautiful day after the rain.

Till next time keep looking up.

Back on Etsy

A few things I put up on my Etsy shop..My daughter and I had a shop, but we let it close, due to her baby..
Now I thought I might as well open it back up and put some of my things in
there again..Etsy is fun and anyone that has things they make and like to sell, should check it out.
Mostly, I do Folk Art and the cards are made from my old fashion illustrations when I was a student, in The Art Students League in NYC..as I say about myself..Jack of all trades, master of none..but having a good time..haha..

Till next time, keep looking up.

Blue Dragonfly

Now here is a beautiful blue Dragonfly. I couldn't see his wings, but they are next to his body. A little different from other Dragonflies that I have been lucky to take a picture of.
Have to admit, the little Dragonfly, made my day..

Till next time, keep looking up.
