The Wonderful Clouds.

As the sun was starting to set, I had to check out the beautiful sky..Well, as usual, it was beautiful. I even "caught a fish" going by. You have to admit, that cloud does look like a fish.

Fingerprint Friday.

I have to use my little chipmunk friend again , for my Fingerprint from God. I can not tell you how much fun he is to watch. I had to move one feeder, since he was stripping it clean and put the other up, which he can't get into. What a cute Fingerprint and thankful I could get a few pictures to share.

Make sure you see Pampering Beki's blog for many other wonderful Fingerprints. So much to be thankful for, if we just stop and look around.

Building the Empire State Building in NYC..

My daughter sent me an email of pictures when they built the Empire State Building in NYC. The year was 1930 and it took one year to do..Doesn't it make you wonder, how in 8 years the World Trade Center is still a big empty spot.

Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did.

Till next time, keep looking up..

Shadow Shot Sunday.

Here are a few Shadows from Field Day, our oldest daughter had. She made a podium and ribbons for 1st/2nd/3rd prize.
Everyone had a wonderful time and we can not believe what she/her husband/son did. It was so much fun, but then again, no matter what we do we always have fun together.
First picture is the podium, looking down from her deck, second..kids in sack race and third water balloon throw. Now that was tricky and I didn't join in.

Fingerprint Friday.

My little Dragonfly is todays Fingerprint from God. In August there are so many Dragonflies flying all over the yard. All different sizes and colors. I was lucky to catch a picture of this little one on my clothes line. I kept talking to it and it would fly away and come back again. What a beautiful fingerprint it is. I am so happy I got a few pictures to share with all of you.

Shadow Shot Sunday.

I am racing to get a few shadow shots up, before my daughter and family arrive. They will be here for the night and don't want to be on the computer.
Okay, here I go..These were taking at another daughter's home. I try and remember my camera to take a few different pictures. They all look the same to me..lawn, flowers, deck, etc. No matter, still nice pictures.

The last one is a table that is hooked onto the glider. Gave a pretty shadow on the deck.

Be sure to check out Hey Harriet's blog for other shadow shots and maybe you will want to join in the fun..

Till next time, keep looking up.

Fingerprint Friday.

This is a different kind of Fingerprint Friday, but one I will never forget. These pictures are stamped in my heart for life.
Of course this didn't come from God, but seeing everyone come together after this terrible tragedy, had God's Fingerprint all over it.
Always remember..LOVE is God's Fingerprint and it is what you do with it that will help change evil to good. God Bless America.

Crystal Caves, Mexico

http://www.stormchaser.ca/Caves/Naica/Naica.html

Now here is a link you might want to read. Very interesting. About the giant crystal cave, in Naica, Mexico.

What an exciting story. They have to enter the cave with special suits and can only stay 30/50 minutes, depending on the person. Every step they take, must be taken with caution. If not, they could be impaled on crystal.
Check it out. There is so much we don't know about on this wonderful planet, thanks to people like this for sharing their stories.
Till next time, keep looking up.

Shadow Shot Sunday.

Took a stroll around the yard for shadow shots.
These are a little different, I think. One of the birdbath..a tree with nice shadow on the leaves and then part of the barn shadow on a bush.
I took my camera with me yesterday when I went shopping and forgot to take pictures.
I tell you, I frighten myself. I have such good ideas and come home empty handed.
Be sure to go over to Hey Harriet's blog and check out everyone's shadow shots.
Till next time, keep looking up.

Lance Cpl Joshua "Bernie" Bernard, 21 years old.

You know, I never write anything controversial here, because we all have different opinions and I respect that.
But this is too much.
Here is a picture of Lance Cpl. Joshua "Bernie" Bernard, 21 years of age. He lost his life after being struck by a grenade in an ambush, August 14..Bernie is from New Portland, Maine.
Well, it seems the AP has a picture of his fellow Marines working to save his life and put it in the papers. The parents asked not to publish it, but they did, anyway.
Portland Press wouldn't and for that I give them great respect.
What is happening to people? Can you imagine if this was your son? After reading the story, I was sick to my stomach at the callous behavior for the family.
Just look at this picture and what this young man and his family gave up for this country and to have him exploited on front page news. Sickening.
God Bless you Bernie, your family and America.
Till next time, keep looking up.

Fingerprint Friday.

We are heading into the fall season here. It is hard to believe summer is going, especially since I didn't even see it. Just took a few pictures of flowers that are a happy Fingerprint from God. I was lucky to get the lily, because of the cooler nights, it didn't last long.

Farmstand.

Our garden was not good at all this year, so we visited the farm stand and stocked up.

I always enjoy freezing my tomato soup base for winter. Then just add sausage/peppers/onions, when making the soup. Cook pasta, like shells, and leave them separate to add before eating, that way they don't turn to mush.
See the little chick with mama in the picture.
Till next time, keep looking up.
