Fingerprint Friday..

For Fingerprint Friday I use a picture of where the Twin Towers stood on 9/11/01..It will be nine years tomorrow.
This image will never leave me and I do believe it should always be a reminder..I realize this is an odd fingerprint..But I see it as good will over come evil..God is always with us, even when life looks darkest.
Dear God, You are my Fingerprint today..
God Bless Us All and God Bless America.
For other Fingerprints go to Pampering Beki's blog.
Till next time, keep looking up.

It doesn't seem possible that it's been 9 years. One of those momentous events when you never forget where you were. I was at work, and one of my co-workers came rushing down the hall, telling everyone that some planes had crashed into the Twin Towers. I was kind of like, huh? We had no idea what it meant or that so many people were dying and so many families' lives were changed forever.

I love the stories about people who were on their way to work in the Twin Towers that day and couldn't get there for one reason or another (one stopped for a doughnut, one had a sick child, etc.) and didn't die. I don't understand God's plan or purpose, why some died and some didn't, but you can certainly see His hand in the stories.

I also loved hearing about the heroism of the passengers on the plane that overtook the pilots and crashed in a field in Pennsylvania, keeping the plane from its unknown destination (the White House or some other building full of people), how they saved many lives.

No matter what and no matter how it seems to us, God is good, all the time.

God is always there, even when evil men wreak havoc.

I had a friend called to tell me to turn on the TV and to ask if our holding company was still located in the twin towers...we later found out that they had moved their offices...I watched in shock as the second plane came into view and saw it crash into the second tower...I will never get that image out of my mind and the memory that I knew in that instant that we were under a terrorist attack. It felt as if the world was coming to an end. But, it didn't end and God prevailed. So, yes he put his fingerprint all over that event by turning that evil into good!

Oh Carolyn, I know exactly how you feel. This anniversary is one of the toughest of my life. Even more difficult than the loss of my family or friends over the years. I wrote a whole long post this morning about it in fact because I just had to get it out. Thank you for the picture, I truly will never get the image of us standing strong out of my mind now and that's what the lights signified to me. Hard to believe 9 years has passed. Big hugs to you my friend. ♥
