Fingerprint Friday...

When getting pictures in the snowstorm, I came across these nests..I thought they would make a wonderful Fingerprint from God..Just thinking of the little birds that made them and waiting for their return..

With all the wind/snow/sleet they still hung on the branches. It is amazing how birds make their nests and each type of bird, makes it different.

Did anyone teach them? They just used their God given instinct. We all have it, for different things in our lives..

So when you get a "gut" feeling about something...Pay close attention...It is there for a reason.

Here We Go Again..

I have been very slow on blogging this week..Another storm hit..this one ended with sleet.
Not too neat, especially when it freezes in the morning..But taking the good from all this..just happy we are warm, have food and our youngest daughter/husband are here for a few days..
Always makes for a happy time..so let it snow..

Good Ole Shadow Shot Sunday...

I ventured out in the snow for my shadow shots..Yes, took my life in my own hands, since it is slippery everywhere I went. I did put salt/sand before me..What I do for, Hey Harriet and her fun Shadow Shot Sunday..Yes, even dragged the heart with me..I know the neighbors were watching and I am embarrassed..Why, you ask?

Well, I do try and present myself with a little dignity..Please, I am not a young pup and hate for them to think I am losing it..which, if I saw a neighbor doing the things I do, I might question their sanity..All this, for Hey Harriet...but I know she appreciates it..Ah, if you can't have a little fun in your life, what is the sense of living...even if you make a fool of yourself at times.

Fingerprint Friday.

I can't believe it is time for Pampering Beki's Fingerprint Friday..but here we are..

The fingerprint I use today is and icicle..I know it does sound strange..About 10 years ago we had a terrible ice storm, electric was off for weeks..You know, the icicle gave many people water..They were getting ice off trees and melting it..Now tell me, is that a Fingerprint from God or what? We were very lucky, our electric came on quickly, so we had water and things didn't freeze in the house.
So many things to be thankful for and sometimes it takes a storm to realize it..Check out Pampering Beki's blog for other fingerprints..maybe you have some you would like to share.

Can you just picture the little bird peeking out of the mouth..?

Makes me happy, just thinking about the birds returning in the spring..and this new project is keeping us busy.

This is the" Worlds Largest Hanging Basket" and it took 8 hours to put in place..I wonder who picks off the dead flowers to keep it blooming?

Shadow Shot Sunday..

Here we are again.. Hey Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday..I did a little bit of hunting for shadows this week..First, was a little shadow near my cute pot holders..then a shot on the wall..not too bad..husbands head is even included..Then the lovely Valentine on the den couch. Since we are now in a cold snap, didn't want to drag it around outside.
Make sure you all join Hey Harriet and her Shadow Shot Sunday..it keeps me going. Right now it is snowing again..If the temps aren't below zero, we are having snow..what a winter...

Fun Project..

Today we get a visit with three grandchildren..Two are girls..so during the cold snap..I couldn't do a thing but sit next to the pellet stove.[ Hit 23 below zero ] ..I made them each a pocket book, that changes into a cradle, for their little dolls..I had little Hawaiian dolls I bought back with me and saved them for this project. Of course for my little grandson..I had to move fast..I found some great material with trucks and very colorful..made a pillow case for his bed..He will be happy..

That is the one thing about my grandchildren, they are thrilled with anything I do for them..Of course, I now have to make something for the other five..

Does Mother Nature fib...?

Mother Nature is toying with me..These pictures are of a robin..Now I was always told when you see them ,it is the first sign of spring..Either these birds got lost or someone made up the story..

Click on the picture and you can see, they are robins...Guess I will have to wait and see..but from the weather desk, we are in for some of the coldest temptures around..

Another Snow Storm..

I am getting tired of this stuff..Was suppose to be a fast moving storm, but hung around all day and dropped quite a bit of snow. Not that I don't appreciate the beauty, I do..but it can get old fast..Well, here is to spring..can't get here soon enough for me..

to get the right picture.

Today is Pampering Beki's Fingerprint Friday..
I chose the wonderful turtle's from Hawaii..
at The Place of Refuge..When you really look them over, you realize how beautiful they are..
What a remarkable fingerprint and so thankful I could get that close to them..
