Shadow Shot Sunday.

Was funny how the two pictures came out black/white..The sun was shinning on the snow and this is how they came out. Interesting.
Cat that hangs around here and we feed it..still won't let me get close to it. Only feeding it for 10 years. I am starting to get a complex.
Be sure to visit Hey Harriet's blog for great shadow shots. When she started this fun, there were only a few, but now everyone is getting into the game. Once you start, you are looking everywhere for shadows.
Till next time, keep looking up.

The brilliance of the winter sun leaves wonderfully artistic shadows and reflections. The kitty relaxes like cats do, and leaves a relaxing shadow on the veranda. Nice!

Those are pretty cool snow shadows...it looks like an undiscovered planet!
Funny about the cat...you'd think after 10 years.....!!!
Have a great week!

- and, yes, you were correct- those tea cups are depression glass!

There is an other worldly look to your first two shots! Really cool! Well, actually I guess it's more cold than cool, but you know what I mean!! Interesting about the cat, but not surprising -- although ten years!! I'd be getting a complex, too! Great post for the day! Enjoy the day!

mmm awesome snow shadow shots... we didn't get much snow... it all melted by lunch time and the cat looks so fluffy and somewhat cross.

The second photo seems a lake or something. Snow is hard to tackle with but so pretty in it's natural way.

Million thanks for coming by and hope you have a wonderful and relaxing SS...

Hahaha! That cat - what a character! Love your shots here - I can almost imagine the second one being a shot of a glacier!

Interesting how it looks like black ice on a road in the second pic even though it's the same area.

You are so sweet to take care of this stray for 10 years. The cat looks very secure with it's surroundings there on your porch. The cat would miss you for sure!

So sorry, but the complex you may be getting made me smile. ;) I'm sure the cat loves you but maybe not everyone is as kind as you are.

What a beautiful feral cat, a shame you can't become fast friends...

The first two are fantastic and the cat one is cute! Funny story about the cat. I wouldn't feel bad as cats can be odd little critters. They have very complex personalities. As much as I like cats, I prefer dogs because they're much easier to understand being the simple creatures they are :)

Those snoy photos are oddly coloured but fascinating! And love your cat story! But no worries! Cats can be prone to whims and moods!

Hi Carolyn!

Oh, you have a lot of snow too. I wish I could lay down like the cat in the sun just now, lately we haven´t had much sun here in Gothenburg.

Sorry to hear that you have thyroid problems.

Nor have I been so good to visit you, but I often think of you and how you have it with your children and grandchildren. Hope that you will soon be healthy and well again.

It's always funny when you look up and you are welcome whenever you want.

I'm expecting in August, my fifth grandchild, it is my youngest son, Eric 26 years to be the father. Unfortunately, he lives very far from me 1000 kilometer north so I can not visit them so very often. But it is good that we have the internet so we can see each other by webcam.

And now I wish you all the best.

Sun-warmed hugs from Irene

Those are beautiful images. Re the cat: we had one the same, they really are an enigma!

Lovely looking cat but after 10 years you'd hope for some sign of friendliness!

Beautiful Pictures! That kitty is so cute -- maybe it's just shy? I'm sure it's NOT you! :) I love the way the kitty has it's feet tucked in to stay cozy.

Like your shimmering shadows!

You're right about the shadow addiction. Only doing this 4 weeks and I am hooked too!!

10 years of feeding & he is still being a snob?? I'd cut off the feed bag.

Wonderful shadows! Love all of them, esp the cat..but it does look cold, all curled up like a ball. You are correct...about the blogging thing-y. At one time I hate it, another love it, sometimes - cant live without it and most time, wanting to do it. Argghhhh...it's just crazy but I think of my wonderful friends like you. Love ya....btw, its warm and super sunny here :)
