Fingerprint Friday.

Homemade bread is my Fingerprint from God..There is something so wonderful about making bread and breaking bread with those you love. The Staff of Life..Will share this recipe with you all, it is one of the best I have ever made. Came from Out of Alaska's Kitchens published in 1948 by members of Crippled Children's Association..found on The Cutting Board.

Sweet Eagle Brand Bread.

I cup Eagle Brand (condensed) Milk (1 can)

3 Cups hot water

2 TBS butter

Mix together and let cool

Add 1 pack yeast to 1/2 cup warm water. Let dissolve. After dissolved add to above mix.

Plus 6 cups flour with 1TBS salt. Mix good and let rise till double in size. (about 1 hour).

Now add 6 to 7 cups more flour for kneading. Knead the dough until it is very smooth and will not stick to board (about 10 minutes)..Let rise again, until double in size. Then cut into four loaves. Put in greased loaf pans and let rise again.

Bake at 350 for about 50 minutes..I usually tell when they are done by the color. Every body's oven is different.

A different kind of Fingerprint from God, but since God broke bread with His Apostles, I thought it would be a nice Fingerprint for everyone.

Be sure to visit Pampering Beki's blog for more wonderful fingerprints.

Till next time, keep looking up.

That bread looks so wonderful! I know what you mean about making bread. There is something about kneading it that always reminds me of all the women who have gone before me who kneaded bread for their families and taught others how to do it. There is something so timeless in the process and such a blessing it is to share it with those you love.
Thank you for the recipe!

Bread and all bread like products are my true weakness. I have never learned to make homemade on purpose because I know I would never stop making and eating it warm with butter and strawberry jam. Oh no, I think there is a huge bag of flour in my future...haha!
