Interesting Piece of News..

This story came from Yahoo News..
After Hurricane Ike, in Caplen, Texas..this man returned home to find his beachfront home destroyed..In the clean up, found a fossil tooth in the debris..weighing 6lbs..
They believe it is from a Columbian Mammoth, that was common in
North America, 10,000 years ago..
Some of you probably read this story, but I had to put it up, for those that didn't..I found it so interesting..
Out of something so terrible as Hurricane Ike, comes another piece of America's history..

Till next time, keep looking up..

I had not heard of this story! How utterly amazing! And I was even more shocked when I saw the man's face! He looks so much like the late Benny Hill!

I had not heard about it (haven't read yesterday's paper yet). I always wonder if I found something like that would I recognize what it was or think it was just a big rock.

It sounds like a certain mammoth wanted to be discovered ;- ) Nature is quite suspenseful- something so blessing that brings our crops and other vegetation rain and sunshine yet ripped through this gentleman's home in a heart beat...still, she left an amazing gift behind.

My wife is all into beach combing finds. She probably woudl have thougth the hurricane was worth it to have a gem like that wash up. (seriously, She's into fossils and such) She says she would rather have a pirate chest of gold wash up, though!
