My Tribute To Michael Jackson.

In 1988, our oldest daughter won tickets to Michael Jackson's Concert in N.Y. She couldn't pick between her sisters and knowing I did live in the city once, she asked if I would like to go see NYC again and then the concert.

Well, off we went..I have to say, it was a great concert with many well known people there. He gave it his all and I was impressed.

We had a wonderful time and I just feel I should say a few words about Michael Jackson and his work. My daughter and I always talk about that day and what a great concert it was. So Michael, thank you for sharing your gift and bringing joy to so many.

Till next time, keep looking up.

Shadow Shot Sunday

We are still having rain and more rain. The sun peeked out and I got a little shot of my garden, notice no flowers. Won't go into that.
The back deck, rain and shadows from the furniture. The legs of the chairs are starting to get green mold on them.
Hey, you don't think St. Francis has a hand in the wet weather? He knows I won't bother him when it is raining. Gee, I always thought he had a good sense of humor, but maybe I am wrong.

Be sure to check out Hey Harriet's blog for other shadow shots. Always a fun time, so join in.

Till next time, keep looking up.

Fingerprint Friday..

Here is our new grandchild, due in November.

We are all so excited and we will be giving extra thanks, this Thanksgiving.
My uncle was a wonderful doctor and use to tell me.."A baby was the greatest miracle on earth and taken for granted".
Just look at this little darling..A special Fingerprint from God.

Be sure to visit Pampering Beki's blog for other wonderful Fingerprints.

My Friend.

Now you can see what my dear friend, the Chipmunk, is after..My bird feeder. Bad enough I had a Raccoon trying to get at the food..but this guy is working hard and winning. The food is almost all gone..Had to put a rock in a plastic bag and hang it from the base. The feeder would get tipped over before and all the food would drop out, so this keeps it hanging and hard to move.
He is fun to watch and I will fill the feeder back up. Don't want him to go away hungry.
Till next time, keep looking up.

Shadow Shot Sunday.

My rhubarb leaves gave a nice shadow this week.
Saw a few weeds and they looked pretty too. The last one is funny. It is the skirting around the house. I was looking down from the deck at it and caught this shadow. It is very different..Now you may wonder where St. Francis is. He is safe this week. Lucky I took the other pictures early in the week, since we are having nothing but rain.
Check out Hey Harriet's blog for other wonderful shadow shots..it is amazing how many are joining in and they have great pictures.
Till next time, keep looking up..

Fingerprint Friday

My Fingerprints for this week.
The Oriole was visiting again..then this other bird. It looks like a baby, because the feathers are very fluffy. Last but not least. I was lucky to catch this little chipmunk, before he took off. They hide in the woodpile and pop out. You have to move fast to catch a picture and I consider myself lucky to have gotten this little shot. Each one is a happy Fingerprint from God.
I never tire of seeing any of them.
Make sure you visit Pampering Beki's blog and see all the other wonderful fingerprints. It kind of makes you stop and realize what beauty is around us and I try to never take it for granted.
Till next time, keep looking up.

Flowers..

My poppies are in bloom and won't last long.
The roses will bloom all summer and add privacy to the back deck. See the little bee in the rose?
These flowers don't need my help and bloom every year, so I am lucky.
Till next time, keep looking up..

Shadow Shot Sunday.

Found a few shadows I thought were interesting.

My solar light..which didn't light and then found out I didn't turn it on. Did I hear someone say"duh"...?

I caught an interesting shadow of my flowers. The picture was blurry and was ready to delete ,till I saw the nice shadow on the side.

Now for St. Francis, checking out the rose bush.

When he sees me coming, I am sure he gets nervous, since he never knows where he will end up.

Be sure you go to Hey Harriet's blog and check out all the Shadow Shots and maybe join in the fun.

Till next time, keep looking up.

Fingerprint Friday.

These are just a few of my favorite Fingerprints from God. The sky, was always a favorite of mine, even as a child. These pictures were taken, at different times of the year. To me, each one has it's own beauty. I thought they would make a good Fingerprint.

Be sure to check out other Fingerprints at Pampering Beki's blog.

Now here are a few pictures of clouds I sure would like to see..they might scare me a little wondering what is going on, but would be worth it.

Check out the link for two different pictures. Thought this was interesting, since the sky is always a beautiful subject to photograph.

Till next time, keep looking up.

Shadow Shot Sunday

Well, we are with Hey Harriet and Shadow Shot Sunday..
and I am back to my old tricks..First shot is when I visited the farm the other day..Our deck again..hanging baskets are so pretty had to get the picture again..Now this is where I get creative..dragged poor St. Francis to the driveway and took a good shadow shot..Poor guy, he never knows where he will end up with me. I have a habit of putting him all over the yard. Different place every month , probably getting motion sickness from it.
Be sure to visit Hey Harriet and check out all the shadow shots..
Till next time, keep looking up.

Visitor At The Humming Bird Feeder

I was so surprised to see this Baltimore Oriole on the Humming Bird feeder. Last year they were here all the time. Took me by surprise this year and I only got three pictures. Will have to sneak around the corner tomorrow, camera in hand and see if he comes back.

This is the kind of stuff that brings so much joy, and it doesn't cost a dime.

Till next time, keep looking up.

Fingerprint Friday..Love

My friend took me to see their cows/bull/calf..

You might think this is an odd fingerprint, but I think it is truly touching..They would not come near me and the calf was in the tall grass, hidden.

My friend told me, they know I am a stranger and since some of them have been taken away by a stranger, they don't trust me.

Who said animals didn't have feelings? Or they know nothing? I can tell you this, there was no way I was going to be allowed to get near that calf.
Love is my Fingerprint for this Friday..something we all can see around us and if you don't see it, make sure you spread it..be sure to check out Pampering Beki's blog and check out all the Fingerprints.
Just a little note.
(These animals are not for eating, but they sell some of the cows to other farms for milking.)

Till next time, keep looking up.

After the Rain.

Just a few pictures after the rain..The bushes looked like they had diamonds on them..and caught a slight rainbow across the street..wires from poles ruined the shot, but you can still see some of it. When you click on the picture, you see it better.

So happy we are in the mist of spring..Everything is so green and beautiful and I am so thankful.

Till next time, keep looking up.
