Now This Was A Storm...Whew!
Monday, Dec. 27 at 12:31 p.m. ET, the GOES-13 satellite captured this visible image of the powerful low pressure system that brought a blizzard to the Northeast and snow from Georgia to Maine. Some of the snowfall can be seen over South and North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and southeastern New York. Snowing.
It is snowing and wind is blowing..The Cardinal looks like he is hanging on, so he doesn't get blown off the bar.
What a beautiful site he is. The female Cardinal isn't far away. They are always together and I believe Cardinals mate for life.
Even though snow is not my favorite kind of weather..When I look out and see the Cardinals, they brighten up everything. Makes for a happy, thankful day.
Till next time, keep looking up.

Making Christmas Things.
I have neglected my blog..All for a good cause. I have been making Christmas toys for the grandchildren. The patterns are from Lion Brand yarn..They have so many fun things to do. I have a giraffe pattern, that I am in the middle of and racing to finish. Ten grandchildren makes for fun. Even if the older ones are in their teens, they enjoy anything I give them, especially when made with love.
A few pictures of some of the toys..

Fingerprint Friday Sun Rise.
It is so interesting watching the sky..This is this morning. First a little color, then all is gone. What beautiful Fingerprints from God, all in a couple of hours. Right now, you would never know these pictures were this morning's sun rise..Sun is out and clear skies.
Be sure to check out Pampering Beki for other Fingerprints.
It is always enjoyable putting up Fingerprints from God..so many I would have missed, because I would not have been looking for them.
Till next time, keep looking up.

Update on the Meteor Shower..
Well, my dear friends..The Meteor Shower was a bust here in Maine..We had rain and I mean rain..I have a flood on the side of my house and I am waiting for a few ducks to land..
Then I say.."Is the glass half empty or half full.".. It could have been snow..
So on that thought , I thank God for all the rain..
Till next time, keep looking up.

Look What Is Happening In The Sky...
AURORA WATCH: High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras on Dec. 10th and 11th when a solar wind stream is expected to hit Earth's magnetic field. NOAA forecasters estimate a 20%-50% chance of geomagnetic activity.
GEMINID METEOR SHOWER: This week, Earth is entering a stream of debris from asteroid 3200 Phaethon, source of the mysterious Geminid meteor shower. Although the shower's peak won't come until Dec. 13th and 14th, people are already seeing a smattering of bright shooting stars. Fredrik Broms photographed this Geminid streaking over the snowy hills of Kvaløya, Norway, on Dec. 7th:
All this information came from Spaceweather.com...What a geat site..Keep your eyes open for all the action in the sky..plus a wonderful site to keep bookmarked..
Since this is near Christmas..I say, it is God saying Merry Christmas to all of us..

The First Snowfall..
I know it is going to happen, but always hopeful that it might miss us..the first snowfall..Oh well, we have been lucky, so far..Now the winds are going to pick up..Oh dear, that can make driving dangerous..everything turns to ice..
Our little guys on the side deck play music..and it is so cute..Our #2 daughter/husband gave us this set and it is adorable..Neighbors probably think we are going through second childhood..but who cares..We are young at heart..
Till next time, keep looking up.

This is Quite the Cloud.
This picture was taken by Sean Heavey, an amateur photographer.
He witnessed this cloud in July, in Glasgow, Montana, USA..
Now there is nothing I enjoy more than taking pictures of the sky..But if I saw this coming at me, I would be history. It is terrifying.
Bless Mr. Heavey and his camera, for if it was me, I would be in my cellar, saying a few prayers.
Till next time, keep looking up...

Fingerprint Friday.
For Fingerprint Friday, I put up three plates I have painted over the years. As we get prepared to celebrate Christmas, a wonderful time of the year.
I have been getting so tired of towns/schools not letting you say Merry Christmas/Christmas Tree. Only Happy Holiday/Holiday Tree..I am sorry, it is a Christmas Tree and Merry Christmas..the celebration of Christ's birth..A Man that did nothing but spread love/peace/care for fellow man..why do they want us to lose that beautiful example?
So for Fingerprint Friday..I say this..May all that believe in Christ..be proud of Him..
"For God so loved this world, He gave His only begotten Son."
"For God so loved this world, He gave His only begotten Son."
Check out Pampering Beki's blog for other Fingerprints.

Happy Hanukkah To Our Jewish Friends.
The original Temple menorah had seven candles, to reflect seven days of God's creation of the world, plus the day of rest. The extra candle is used to light the candles.
Some of the Menorahs today, have the eighth candle in the middle, like the picture shows..for lighting the other candles.
Be sure to read the story of how this wonderful holiday came about..
Wishing all Our Jewish friends..A Happy Hanukkah..
Till next time, keep looking up.
