Crazy Weather..
Never have I heard or seen such odd weather as this year..These pictures are from Long Island, N.Y. The photo of lightening was taken by Peter Blasl, as it hit the water off Long Island sound..The water spouts were taken by Mark Kopko, again Long Island sound in Riverhead..In all my life, I never saw a water spout out there..Now they may have happened, but I never heard of it..Then yesterday, Manhattan was under tornado watch..I know Brooklyn had a tornado, last year..It just seems so strange to hear this type of weather out there..We had hurricanes, but never tornadoes.. Just found this all so interesting and gives the mind, food for thought..
Till next time, keep looking up..

The weather patterns are definitely changing.
Thanks for sharing these photos
Wow, that is quite a picture!! It does seem strange seeing tornadoes out our way.......xo
wow! those are scary!!
One of the reasons I love Maine is that lack of extreme weather, save for the occasional blizzard or ice storm. But we've had much stranger weather lately, too... much stronger thunderstorms and tornado watches (though I've yet to see a tornado).
Indeed, quite scary when you think about it.
I think Mother nature is trying to tell us something.
Beautiful photos!
Outstanding photos Rosebud! Thanks for sharing. That is so fascinating to see Mother Nature do her work.
I believe the weather had been changing drastically just the last couple of years. Food for thought, indeed.
Great photos! Speaking as one who lives in NJ - I can say that it has been crazy. I lived in Florida for 6 years, I haven't seen storms like this, since leaving there...It seems as if everything is going through a change - I wonder where it will take us, definitely food for thought.
Yes indeed, the weather is acting crazier these days. It's rather scary really... thanks for sharing these cool images!
awesome lightning shots! It's like you're in Tucson! We were watching the lightning show the other night - better than fireworks!
We were living on LI when the tornado touched down in Brooklyn and it was such a major news item they discussed it for days! Matt (my hub) actually grew up in Wading River, right by Riverhead so I will share these photos with him of the water spouts because he will be as amazed as I am!
The climate crisis is so very real. We have had almost 4 straight weeks of thunderstorms, more than double for the entire normal season.
Very interesting shots!
