I can't help myself..I think Lion Brand Yarn
has some of the cutest toys to knit/crochet....I put pictures up every now and then, just in case you don't get a chance to see them..I find them fun to make for my grandchildren.
Since these are so easy and small, can be made very fast and they have many other fun patterns..With Christmas coming, now would be the time to make toys and put them away..

I always loved it when Muddy would knit or crochet something for my children. I wished she could have taught me how to knit or crochet. That's a wonderful talent you got there, I know your grandchilden are blessed to get something handmade by you. :)
Aww.. they are so cute! I agree, your grandchildren are blessed to have you. My mom-in-law taught me how to make dishcloths and this winter I'm going to plunk myself down beside her until I learn her most comfortable and warm checkerboard slipper pattern. :)
