How would you like to meet this fish, as you are scuba diving?
He is a man-sized grouper and he is in the Eastern Pacific Ocean..can grow to 6' and weigh up to 1,000 lbs..
He is a new species..just when you think we know it all, something new is discovered. I know this, I wouldn't want to be under the water when this guy shows up..

oh that is huge!! I've seen it before at an underwater aquarium, it looks like a grumpy mob boss =) wouldn't wanna be in the water with it
Very interesting. Makes you wonder what else is out there that we don't know about. But I agree, wouldn't want to meet up with him underwater. But I pretty much stick to pools so I guess I am safe!

As you well know I find all underwater creatures fascinating. When they're behind glass. And/or when I'm on the beach. lol

When I was little I always wanted to pet my goldfishes....they didn't like it.
ha..I knew it was a grouper!! maybe I'll encounter one when I dive..one day, dont know when! We love grouper here..but not this big, it would be like chewing tree bark..i think :D

Oh WOW!!! I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable sharing my swimming space with him... but I must say that with all of the animals going extinct, it is nice to hear of a newly discovered species!!
After the giant squid discovery nothing underwater surprises me anymore but this thing is INSANE it is so big! Very cool, thanks for sharing this!
