Swamp Rose

Now this is another wild rose that is around the pines and bushes..It is called Swamp Rose..It is a pretty little flower that you find wild. It is near swamps, but finds it way to the woodland/bushes..When I took the pictures, the bees were working on the flowers.. I even got a couple pictures of them..I was very careful, I might add.
Isn't it a pretty flower? Amazing what is around this yard and the birds did all the planting.

Till next time, keep looking up..

Very pretty! My Mom gave me one like this, but she called it something else. I'll have to ask her. It's very similar. The flowers are so delicate that they don't last very long, but there are many of them.

I just love those big fat bumble bees! Just like the ones from Winnie the Pooh. I grew up in CA and there were only just the skinny little honey bees. I think beautiful roses look even better with a fat bumble buzzing around!

I love those simple five-petaled wild roses. As I recall from my youth, they have a wonderful scent. No wonder the bees are so attracted to them!
