My Little Friend..

Was happy to get a picture of this Great Spangled Fritillary , before it flew away..The only reason I know the name of this butterfly, I have a book in front of me telling me about it..It shows up in late June, early September..We use to have many Monarchs, but I saw only a couple this year..There is something happy about a butterfly..watching them go from flower to flower. I consider myself lucky to get a few pictures of this one..

Till next time, keep looking up..

That is really beautiful! I haven't seen one that looked quite like that before.

I can believe it's called a Great Spangled Fritillary!

What a Monty Pythonesque name! lol

Aren't butterflies just one of those little wonders that make us happy....

Oh that has to be the most beautiful butterfly I've ever seen! I've never had the fortune of seeing one in person but your pictures capture it beautifully!!

So pretty! I love butterflies :) Lots of monarchs here this year, I even had one on my car that traveled about 40 miles down the highway with me, caught its breath and then flew away.
