Steam Devils.

This is something I never heard of and thought you would all enjoy reading about..
Went to one of my favorite sites, Space Weather, to see what was new..Well, take a look at this picture. The photo is taken by Mike Hollingstead in Iowa..called a "steam tornado".
This "steam tornado" happens when the water is warm and the air is cold..Isn't it interesting?
Space Weather has the neatest information and most beautiful pictures.
We have seen "sea smoke" many times, but never anything like this..Always fun to learn something new..you can go to the site and read all about it.

Till next time, keep looking up..

Ghostly! And thank you for the link... I've seen tiny twisters before, but nothing as cool as this.

Very interesting! That looks like something they would call ghostly if they didn't know exactly what it was. :) Cool shot. Thanks also for the great link. Peace!

oh oh here they are! my classmates saw one of these at a reservoir where my school was located beside, and they said they saw a 'water tornado' rising from the reservoir but I was like: what a waterspout in a man-made lake?! lol

SpaceWeather is one of my favorite sites, too! It was so neat to see it mentioned on your blog.

I don't know if you're getting overwhelmed by awards, but I wanted to let you know that I nominated you for a Brilliant Blogger award over on my blog. You're one of the people who made me feel so welcome when I started my Etsy shop, and I wanted to say thank you :-)
